About Helen Hope
Hello, I am Helen Hope - I have only recently started this business having pursued a career as a lawyer in Edinburgh for about 10 years. I moved with my husband and two young children to Guildford in January 2012 where we have settled and I have sought out a new venture!
Curtains and soft furnishings are new to me only as a business - its a familiar craft. I have been making soft furnishings for many years, and have much to thank Edinburgh's large, draughty Georgian windows for! In 2012 I undertook two courses recognised by the Association of Master Upholsterers and Soft Furnishers to hone familiar skills and bring them up to the high standard required for traditional, high quality, hand sewn curtains and blinds, and many other treatments.
Its a real privilege to spend time with clients in their homes and help them to enrich their surroundings by creating beautifully finished treatments and soft furnishings which will meet their individual needs and requirements, and all from my dedicated workroom at home.
